Notes

  • Avoid cigarette smoking.
  • Limit alcohol intake.
  • Be moderate in your activities (2 - 3 weeks).
  • Wear cotton panties or pantyhose. Avoid panties made from silk, nylon, or other nonventilating materials.
  • Healing requires several days or a few weeks. Discomfort after surgery will vary from person to person.
  • Avoid Tampons.
  • Do not douche unless your doctor prescribes it.
  • Delay sexual relations until repeat examination reveals that the healing is complete (usually 3 - 4 weeks) or it may be better to do this just as soon as you can.

This procedure can be combined with other cosmetic procedure, but not limited to:

  • Anterior - posterior repairs (plastic surgery to correct relation of the pelvic muscle).
  • Tubal ligation a Breast implant
  • Tummy tucks
  • UD&C
  • Laparascopy (abdominal or pelvic surgery which is done with a small incision is made in or below the navel).
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Laparascopy and laser surgery
  • Repair of laceration of the birth canal.
