Labial Reduction
At the Beverly Hills Women’s Center, our mission is to empower women with knowledge, choices and alternatives to enhance their well-being. Dr. B. Kaye Kashanchi, Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist and Clinical Professor Department of OB/GYN at the University of Southern California School of Medicine (USC), has pioneered the latest advancements in Labia Reduction and Vaginal Renovation.
It’s becoming a known fact. Many women feel self-conscious and uncomfortable with the appearance of their labia minora. Many experience pain during intercourse, discomfort while exercising and irritation from undergarments. Obviously, these feelings can have adverse effects on their self-confidence and personal relationships. Labia Reduction is designed for women with an enlarged or asymmetrical labia minora. The miner procedure involves reshaping the labia minora, resulting in a more comfortable and more appealing size and shape.

The procedure is performed in a dean, comfortable surgical facility. Local, regional or general anesthesia is used, depending on the patient. The minor procedure takes about 40 minutes. Following surgery, you should feel very little pain or discomfort. If necessary, an anesthetic spray or painkiller may be prescribed. Despite skillful surgery, the procedure may cause some scaring or adhesion and need to be repeated. Usually this second procedure, if necessary, involves a much shorter recovery time.
Labia Reduction can be combined with other cosmetic procedures. These may include:
* Repairs to the pelvic muscle
* Repair of a lacerated birth canal
* Tubal ligation
* Laparoscopy and laser surgery
